Participating organisations

The participating organisations are classified in three categories. In the first category lie the full partners of the project, i.e., (1) “NAMA Consulting Engineers and Planners”; (2) the Department of Water Resources, Hydraulic and Maritime Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens; (3) the Water Supply and Sewerage Company of the local authority of the town of Karditsa, Thessaly, Central Greece; (4) the “Aephorike” (meaning “sustainable”) of Dodecanesus islands; and (5) the company “Marathon Data Systems”. In the second category lies the French company SOGREAH, which will participate in the tests of the final product through financing its activities without reclaiming any funds from the project. In the third category lie: (1) the Public Power Corporation of Greece; (2) the Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company (known as “EYDAP”); and (3) the EYDAP Asset Company. The latter, which definitely are the largest companies involved with water resources management in Greece, will be end users of the final product and will share their experience with the other partners, without any participation in the project’s costs.
