Integrated Management of Hydrosystems in Conjunction with an Advanced Information System

The subject of the “ODYSSEUS” project is the development of an integrated system of computing tools, which, in combination with a parallel framework of methodologies and technical specifications, will provide an infrastructure suitable for a rational and sustainable management of water resource systems at a variety of scales. The research teams that participate to the project implementation have long experience on water resources management, and derive from the academic field, the private field and the local self-government.
The project is funded by the European Development Fund (EDF), the European Social Fund (ESF), the Greek State and Greek private organisations, in the framework of the Operational Project “Competitiveness” of the Third Community Cohesion Fund. The project duration is three years, and begun at July 2003. The web site is accommodated by the National Technical University of Athens.
